Driving Directions
Lincoln City is a 2-hour drive from Portland (you can fly into Portland International Airport) and a 1-hour drive from Salem, the state capitol.
Weatherleigh is 1 mile west of Hwy 101 as you enter into the North side of Lincoln City.
Recommended driving directions are as follows:
Directions from the Portland Metropolitan Area
Travel I-5 south towards Salem.
Take exit 294 turning onto Hwy 99 (west). Signs read “Tigard/Newberg/Lincoln City”.
Stay on Hwy 99 (west) passing through Tigard, King City, Tualatin, Sherwood and Newberg.
In Newberg, Hwy 99 splits as you go around the main part of town. Keep following the road as it takes you into the edge of town on towards Dundee.
You will drive through some farmland for a few miles and reach the end of Dundee. There will be signs indicating Hwy 18 west “Dayton/Ocean Beaches”. Turn left onto Hwy 18. If you miss the turn you will end up in the town of Lafayette, a few miles out of Dundee.
Travelling west on Hwy 18 the road will take you around the outskirt of McMinnville. As you pass the Mcminnville Airport on the left, prepare to be in the left lane. If you stay in the right lane it will take you to “99W Corvallis” and into downtown McMinnville.
Hwy 18 will merge with Hwy 22 coming from Salem.
Take Hwy 18 west to Hwy 101 South (Oregon Coast Hwy) into Lincoln city. Bear left towards Lincoln City/Newport. Going right will take you to Hwy 101 North leading to Tillamook/Pacific City/Neskowin.
Pass through intersection. Devils lake to your left, golf course to the right.
You will come to the first major intersection of Lincoln City at Hwy 101 and Logan Road. McDonalds is to your left, Safeway and Lighthouse Square to your right. Continue on Hwy 101 south through the intersection.
Turn right (west) at the first street after the gas station onto NW 39th St.
Turn left (south) onto NW Jetty Ave.
Drive up a small hill and Weatherleigh will be on the right (west) side just as the hill starts to descend.
Weatherleigh: 3539 NW Jetty Ave. The house is painted a brick red color with white trim. There is a carport on the left side of the house with room for one car. Street side parking available for all others.
Note: The above directions are the shortest distance from the Portland metro area. If you want a more direct route, you can also go down to Salem and follow the directions below.
Please also be aware that on Fridays Hwy 99 tends to be very busy between 3p-6p as a result of weekend traffic.
Directions from Eugene or California
Travel I-5 North towards Salem/Portland.
Take exit 253 “ Stayton/Detroit lake” towards Hwy 22.
Turn left (west) onto Hwy 22.
Try to stay in the right lane, which will take you through Salem passed Willamette University.
Stay in the far right hand lane. Hwy 22 will turn into an overpass (Marion St. Bridge).
Follow signs on Hwy 22 that read “Ocean Beaches/Dallas”.
Stay on Hwy 22 to Hwy 18 West to Lincoln City.
Take Hwy 18 West to 101 South (Oregon Coast Hwy) into Lincoln city. Bear left towards Lincoln City/Newport. Going right will take you to Hwy 101 North leading to Tillamook/Pacific City/Neskowin.
